Description

Jacki Dezelski serves as the President and CEO of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, a position she has held since May 2017.  Her journey with the Chamber began almost 29 years ago when she joined the Chamber team as Communications Manager. She quickly developed a passion for its mission and impact. 

 

Throughout her tenure at the Chamber, Jacki has led initiatives in workforce development, communications, healthcare, leadership development, and young professionals. Her leadership extends to board service with organizations such as CareerSource Suncoast, United Way Suncoast, Bradenton Area Economic Development Corporation, Leadership Manatee, and the Manatee Healthcare Alliance. 

 

A resident of Manatee County since 1979, Jacki is deeply rooted in the community. Jacki's educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida. She also earned her IOM credential from the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Organization Management. 

 

In recognition of her contributions to the Chamber industry, Jacki was honored with the Florida Chamber Professional of the Year Award in 2015. Jacki's commitment to fostering a thriving business environment and her active involvement in community development continue to make a significant impact on Manatee County… and she will tell you that the best part of her job is that she gets to work with the best people in the community every day – Manatee Chamber members! Jacki will also tell you that she has benefitted from incredible mentors over her almost 30-year Chamber career, including the late, beloved Bob Bartz, a past Kent Schulz Award honoree. 

 

Outside of the office, Jacki treasures time with family and friends, cooking, and visits to her family’s farm in Michigan. Her dream sports moment would be playing at Wimbledon. While she knows that will always be just a dream, she still believes that her best tennis is ahead of her!
